Headspace’s Latest Netflix Special Will See You Become The Master Of Mindfulness

The fitness world loves a buzz word, and if ever there was one to define 2021 it would be meditation. Since the coronavirus came to stalk the world, plunging us all into a period of great uncertainty, we’ve never been more aware of our mental health. Once pushed to the periphery, mental health is now coming to be seen as a priority and the need to take time out of the day to exercise our minds just like we would any other body part has never been more important. Though meditation certainly has achieved a cult-like following of late, with everyone from athletes to Hollywood’s biggest stars taking it up, for those new to the practice it can seem a little daunting, especially if any time you look to do it, your mind doesn’t become the quiet space you think it should be.

It’s for this reason that the launch of Headspace’s latest interactive series on Netflix is so exciting. Now, audiences around the world can unlock the tools for better meditation and mindfulness practices, allowing us all to achieve a better mind state with the help of experts. Following the universal success of Headspace: Guide to Sleep and Headspace: Guide to Meditation, Netflix has now launched Headspace: Unwind You Mind.

The series shares tools to help viewers become more mindful, offering guided exercises, meditations, and movements that fall into the categories of stress relief, relaxation, and bedtime stories designed to help us sleep better. With narration and calming sounds from Headspace co-founder Andy Puddicombe, the series is designed to be viewed as many times as needed to help achieve a better mind state. And if all that wasn’t enough to keep you entertained, you can even choose your own mindfulness adventure based on the effect you desire.

As Eve Lewis Prieto, Headspace director of meditation and mindfulness teacher explains, “We want to give many people access to more mindfulness in their lives once more. With the help of concrete instructions, backed by science, viewers can build a healthy routine and gain a more restful sleep.”

Headspace: Unwind Your Mind is available for streaming on Netflix from June 15.
