Joe Jonas is continuing his “good guy” publicity campaign as his divorce from Sophie Turner gets messier and messier, and he’s using his daughters as leverage against his increasingly tainted image.

The dad of two — daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, both of whom he shares with the Game of Thrones alum — was spotted in New York City during an outing with his girls. The Jonas Brothers singer treated them to a special daddy-daughter date at a performance of Sesame Street: The Musical. A spectator told Page Six Jonas looked “very sweet” while doting on his children and enthusiastically participated in the musical, yelling out when the Sesame Street characters asked audience questions.

Jonas’ appearance follows his shocking divorce filing earlier this month, which Turner claimed she found out about from the media when the news broke. The musician’s PR team has been hard at work painting the actress as an absentee mom, and when Jonas removed their daughters from Turner’s care in England to take them back to the United States without her knowledge, sh*t really hit the fan.

The UK native sued Jonas, alleging he was withholding the girls’ passports to prevent her from regaining custody of them. Both estranged spouses have been court-ordered to remain in New York City until their divorce is finalized, and it’s looking to be a long, acrimonious process.

Interestingly enough, court documents filed by Turner hit the media today, with Page Six revealing a letter penned by Jonas. The idyllic note, written just three months ago, was an appeal to a homeowner in England with a house Jonas and Turner wanted to purchase. The singer gushed about his desire to raise their daughters on the property, painting a vivid picture of charming moments he and Turner would share with their girls if they were lucky enough to live in the home. The touching letter worked — the homeowner agreed to sell, and Jonas and Turner put down a deposit on the house in July.

Turns out Jonas isn’t a “Sucker” for Turner, but he most certainly is one for believing his attempt to slander the beloved actress would work. Instead, it’s all coming back to bite him as he struggles to maintain any remaining shreds of his reputation.
