The ASPCA is committed to awarding a total of $150,000 in emergency funds to international animal welfare efforts responding to the urgent needs of animals and pet owners impacted by the war in Ukraine. The funding will provide critical rescue and emergency sheltering services, including offering veterinary care, pet food, and other vital supplies.
“The impact of the war in Ukraine on people and animals both in the region and within the United States calls for us all to work together to help save lives and protect the bonds between people and pets, which are more vital than ever during a crisis,” said Matt Bershadker, ASPCA President and CEO. “The ASPCA’s grant funding will support emergency efforts to rescue, care for, and protect animals endangered by this conflict, and we are proud to provide this help in line with our mission.”
